50 Ways to Drink Tea XWays to Book 1 edition by Evelyn Sotiris Cookbooks Food Wine eBooks

This is a very creative book, with 50 recipes for jazzing up an ordinary cup of tea.

PRO: All the recipes are linked in the Table of Contents. There are many photos and colorful images. The recipes are unusual and thought-provoking and sometimes exotic.

CON: Most of the recipes do not give number of servings. Most of the recipes are listed in cups and teaspoons, but there are occasional ingredients given in g, ml, cm, requiring some research to figure out how much to use: e.g., 50 g cooked tapioca pearls, 700 ml water, 120 ml dark chocolate syrup, 2 cm licorice root.

I think most tea aficionados will have fun with this book. It will encourage readers to be adventurous and try something new...maybe even invent their own exotic flavors.

50 Ways to Drink Tea XWays to Book 1 edition by Evelyn Sotiris Cookbooks Food Wine eBooks Reviews

As a devoted tea drinker, I have rarely done more than add sugar, honey, cream or lemon. This convenient ebook lists 50 innovative recipes using an enormous variety of ingredients, many of which I would not have considered using, but now do. For example, enhancing tea with coconut milk and rum in Coco It, or Fruit it, where you combine a number of dried fruits to white tea and get something so much better than any "herbal" fruit tea.

Each recipe is illustrated by gorgeous pictures.

One of the another outcomes of this book, is to allow the reader to experiment beyond the recipes, by opening your mind to new possibilities.
Here in Rio de Janeiro it's almost always too hot for a warm tea, but there are times when the heart demands it.
This book is so cool - excuse me the pun - because it can teach us how to... tea!
Loved it.
Wow. This is fascinating to me, as a kid who grew up with mom's sun tea out in the yard, and then discovered a big surprise when Green Tea came aboard, but now, with this book, I have a brand new appreciation for drinking tea! I have also shared this book with my family, and we have been having a lot of fun just looking over the ideas. Haven't made them all yet, but this is the kind of book that just takes your mind off of things, and brings some good into the world. Thanks! Well worth it!!
It wasn't as detailed as I'd hoped it would be. Most of the recipes look interesting, and I'll try some of them. But I was hoping for more nutritional information on the recipes, grades of tea, infusing times and temperatures, etc. When they say, "Pour hot water over green tea," I want to know what kind of green tea and how hot the water should be. Disappointed.
I'm a fan of tea, but i always drink it plain. This book has lots recipes on what to add to it to make it more exciting. Sometimes its spices, sometimes its juices, there are a whole bunch of different suggestions but in the end you get a new fun take on a great cup of tea.
Who knew you could take simple tea and Granita it, Milk Shake it and Flower it, not to mention Smoothie it, Hot it and Zen it. The authors have done a wonderful job of gathering some very interesting recipes and clearly writing the steps for each; also, the photography is beautiful. I very much recommend this book.
I am a Brit, so I love tea! Tea is in my make-up, but before I got this book I was just drinking it the old-fashioned way, without knowing just how versatile this product can be! This book is so well set out, with a simple page format, showing the recipes in straightforward, easy-to-follow style, and each recipe is accompanied by a superb photograph (and the images in the book are simply stunning!). I like the way the authors have included serving suggestions, and also additional tips, such as recipes for certain goodies that can be served alongside particular recipes so as to make the experience all the more enjoyable. Even those with somewhat jaded taste buds like me will find so many new and exciting ways to enjoy tea. I commend the hard work the authors put in to create this instructive and highly entertaining compendium of recipes, and I am certain that there is something for everyone here. The humble "cuppa" will never be the same again, that's for sure! If you're planning a dinner party, or you're just having a couple of close friends round for a meal, what better way to end the evening than with one, or more, of the delicious, and superbly creative recipes shown in this book?
